Overview

The Planning Commission is a 5-member, non-partisan committee appointed by the Mayor, although the Mayor will not be involved in the Commission process. A member of the City Council, titled Ex-Officio, will facilitate every Planning Commission Meeting. Chapter 2.24 of the Sumas Municipal Code explains the duties and powers of the Planning Commission, as well as term limits and other information related to the Commission.

Planning Commission Meetings:

Planning Commission Meets on an irregular basis and are agreed upon between the Planning Commissioners, the City Council Ex-Officio, and City Staff. Meeting times will be posted below as they are decided.

All Planning Commission Meetings are located at Sumas City Hall at 433 Cherry St, Sumas, WA 98295. Meetings will take place at 5:30pm unless otherwise specified.
